K Cup Brewer

Keurig was founded in 1992 by Olaf Keurig. Keurig claims that they have an average of 2.5 million beverages consumed daily as of 2010. They also believed that 6% of all coffee brewed in the offices of USA are of Keurig K-Cup coffees.

K-Cup system

Insert: the picture shows how the K-Cup system brew the coffee in a fast and simple way.

K-Cup machines are all designed to quickly brew a single cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or other hot beverage. The brew material are supplied in a prepared, single-serving unit, called a “K-Cup”. When the machine has warmed up, consumer inserts a K-Cup into the machine, places a mug under the spout, and presses the brew button and within 20 to 60 seconds, the beverage is ready. Consumers can also dispense a mug of hot water without the use of the K-Cup.

Keurig machines brew coffee or tea by piercing the foil seal on top of the plastic K-Cup with a spray nozzle, simultaneously piercing the bottom of the K-cup with a discharge nozzle. Grounds contained inside the K-Cup sit within a paper filter. Hot water is forced through the K-Cup, passing through the grounds and through the filter into the waiting cup or mug below. A brewing temperature of 192 degrees Fahrenheit (89 Celsius) is the default setting.

K Cup Brewer Customer Reviews

Coffee People, Donut Shop K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig K-Cup Brewers (Pack of 50)

By Matahari7887
To cut to the chase, this produces a very good MEDIUM roast style cup of coffee…period. Some folks tend to compare all coffees to one another no matter what the bean is and how it’s roasted. I do roast my own green beans (home roaster) when I brew a pot of coffee every morning and use the K-Cups when only a single cup is needed.
By Earl A Slaymaker (Detroit, MI United States)
Bought this as a gift for someone with a Keurig Coffee brewer — a most excellent choice; well apreciated by the recipient…
I have no problem with the product at all. The coffee is abouth the best one on the market.

Love this coffee! It’s my favorite one out of all of the flavors and it’s cheaper buying it from Amazon.
Ekobrew Cup, Refillable K-Cup For Keurig K-Cup Brewers

By Art History Professor
When I first reviewed this, I gave it four stars (I’m a hesitant five-star giver), but having now used it for two weeks, it gets the fully approved 5-star love.
By Mark (Chandler, Azerbaijan)
Works great for our special edition B60. We just drop a regular tea bag in and you can usually use it twice.

By Artful Codger
I love the Ekobrew. It’s an excellent design that delivers on flavor. I’ll still use the occasional K-Cup, but I’m absolutely sold on the great coffee I’ve been brewing with this nifty device.

Green Mountain Coffee Breakfast Blend, K-Cup for Keurig Brewers
By S. meyer “Skye” (Maryland, USA)
This coffee is perfect for those who don’t like strong coffee shop coffee. It’s mild yet has a bold flavor. I actually make two cups with each k-cup. That helps me save lots of money and works perfectly when I want more than one cup in the morning. Second cup is lighter, but it still has good flavor.
By G. Swetow “Porkysgirl” (Lake Havasu City, AZ)
I can drink various flavored cremes, but there is only one coffee that I love and it’s Breakfast Blend. Iv’e tried soooooooo many, I”m a BB girl!
By M. McKinnon
Great breakfast blend. I’m not a coffee lover by any means, but my wife and I both agree that this is a pretty good mild breakfast coffee.
Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Butter Toffee, K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig K-Cup Brewers

By Matahari7887
Great taste with just a hint of toffee. Amazon is offering this 50 pack for far less than any retail store. Gotta love Amazon!

By P. Fisher “Weim Lover” (Kansas City, USA)

The coffee is very good if you like flavored coffee. Very rich with flavor and is med bold. Smells delectable when brewing. We are totally addicted to our Keurig coffee maker. We have tried several brands and flavors of coffee but this one remains at the top of our list. Thank you Amazon for carrying it, the auto shipping and for such great service.

Gloria Jeans Butter Toffee coffee has a great taste. The smell of the aroma as the coffee brews starts an enjoyable experience. Sit back, relax and enjoy a cup!

Coffee People Black Tiger K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig K-Cup Brewers (Pack of 50)
By Marie
When I tried Black tiger, I liked it.It’s a bit strong, but not burned tasting.I add a little water sometimes to bring it to my taste. So I now have both Donut Shop and Black Tiger, and, love them both! And…I love my Keurig coffee maker(a Christmas gift for my husband and I from our daughter). A little bit of a luxury, but I have fresh cup of coffee every time!

By Vallorbs (SLC, Utah)
A little early morning time alone with a cup of fresh brewed black tiger K-cup is what makes the start of the day a real treat for me. I have seen some compare jet fuel to black tiger and think that you will have a challenge telling the difference. It probably does not matter too much, because if you like or dislike the one, the other will likely be the same result. What a great find. Thanks coffee people!

By Coffee Lover “California Coffee Lover” (San Diego, CA USA)
Sweet! I found Black Tiger in the display or coffees at my car dealer while I was waiting for my car and tried a cup. It was fantastic; just the right blend of acidity and richness in a coffee with a good punch. I came home and ordered some for myself and, while I keep trying different K-Cups, I keep going back to the Tiger.

Caribou Coffee, Caribou Blend, K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, 24-Count
By justsomeguy

Hi! I have that coffee maker at home – the Keurig thing. I love it. And I love coffee – I have some every single morning. I can’t live without it. I love my coffee maker – and I tried many, many, MANY of the numerous types of coffee that are available for it via these “K-Cups”. This one – this Caribou one – ROCKS.

By StressandRest

Caribou’s are the perfect fit for me. I would go as far as to say that brewing Caribou in K-Cups at home has kept me from going to Starbucks for over a month…it just tastes better!

By Vincent Prezioso (Concord, CA United States)

We have been buying Caribou Blend K-cups for a couple of years. It is a fine medium blend that we, and everyone that we have served it to, loves. We usually order it in larger quantities to try and save some money since we go through it fairly quickly.

Diedrich French Roast, Dark K-Cups for Keurig Brewers (Pack of 50)
By Robert J. Hard (Norwalk, CT United States)

My office coffee, which I once regarded as a gourmet blend, now seems like goat leavings by comparison. If you like the taste of coffee–I mean really like it, bold and beautiful–Diedrich’s French roast is for you.

By Harry Tuttle “Citizen” (Utopia, Planet Earth)

I love a smooth, dark roast coffee. Smooth, rich, and dark. This is it. I’ve been trying as many varieities of bold and dark as I can. This one and Timothy’s Midnight Magic are my favorites so far. Parisian Nights is OK, but not quite as nice. I have yet to try an Italian roast. Mixing one of these French Roast’s with a Midnight Magic or a Parisian Nights and a shot of REAL Cream is about as good a it gets. An exquisite cup of coffee right here in my own kitchen. Life is good :-)

By P. Smith “A good grandma” (Seattle WA)

I love the Keurig and I tried several coffee k-cups till I found this one. Some of the darker roasted coffees are bitter but this one is just perfect for my taste.
